Andrew J. Provence is a partner with Litwin & Provence, LLC. He concentrates his civil practice in the areas of municipal, corporate, and environmental law. Mr. Provence received his B.A., cum laude, in Political Science from James Madison University in 1995. He received his J.D. and Certificate in Environmental Law, cum laude, from Pace University School of Law in 1998.
Mr. Provence represents numerous small and mid-size businesses in various civil matters, including contract and lease review and negotiation, employment issues, and litigation. Mr. Provence also represents some of New Jersey’s leading environmental organizations and has appeared before the Supreme Court of New Jersey, successfully arguing for expanded public access to New Jersey’s beaches.
As a student member of the Pace Environmental Litigation Clinic, Mr. Provence helped commence a major federal action against multiple sewage treatment plants discharging into Long Island Sound and Jamaica Bay, resulting in a $4 million settlement. Following graduation, Mr. Provence was admitted into the bars of New Jersey and New York, and was recently admitted into the bar of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Provence was selected to Super Lawyers’ New Jersey Rising Stars in 2008-2010 and 2012.
